new site sneak peek

Well, I’ve finally got drupal up and running (again, second time is a charm, correct?). It’s kind of bare bones at the moment – no portfolio, not much content, and the design is kind of funky. However, the goal is to create my dossier/portfolio using drupal. I’ll be able to control access and I think (hope!) that I’ll be able

robinna/ June 24, 2007/ webdesign, tools/tips/ 0 comments

Okay, so I was trying to pull my feed in from here to a different website, but the feed didn’t seem to be working. Thanks to a little searching around on ‘net (I couldn’t find it anywhere here at blogger), I found the format for the feed: so:http://xxxxxx.blogspot.com/feeds/blog/rss.xmlhttp://xxxxxx.blogspot.com/feeds/blog/atom.xml Just replace xxxxxx with whatever the blogname is. Until IE becomes more standards compliant and all browsers began adhering strictly to the w3c coding standards, it will be nearly impossible to create one set of coding that renders beautifully across the various browsers. Many people do use one style sheet, but then include code specifically to work around junky IE. Anyhow, until that time, tables are still not

CMS for bloggers

robinna/ September 19, 2006/ software, Design, CMS, webdesign, opensource, XHTML/XML/CSS, web 2.0+/ 0 comments

So, I’m still investigating a CMS (Content Management System) for the libraries web editors. A CMS is just a easy way to get content onto the web, without having to do much in the way of design. Blogger in some senses is a very primitive (primitive because it is limited in what it can do) CMS. Unfortunately, my quick and
